L201 Hypancistrus Contradens Pleco

What We Like About This Fish:

L201 Plecos Are Generally peaceful and hardy species, the L201 Snowball Pleco is an excellent, undemanding candidate for most aquariums.  Unlike the widely-seen Common Pleco (Hypostomus plecostomus) and Trinidad Pleco  This smaller size makes for a much more manageable (and less messy) pleco that can thrive perfectly in a well filterd and maintained aquarium even as small as 40 gallons.

Group of Wild Caught L201 Plecos

The Snowball Pleco is an extremely beautiful and very peaceful, hardy addition to almost any aquarium. At a maximum size of 5.5 to 6.3 inches, this is a very practical and manageable fish. This fish will not bother most plants. It will also scavenge and consume most uneaten fish food. The L201 Pleco is an aquarium fish with a unique appearance as well as plenty of personality. #fish #pleco

Here are a few examples of freshwater fish that can coexist with Plecos and black neon tetra fish in an aquarium:

  1. Dwarf Cichlids: Small and peaceful cichlids such as Apistogramma, Mikrogeophagus, or Nannacara can make great tank mates for Cardinal Tetras. They occupy different levels of the aquarium and have similar water requirements.

  2. Rasboras: Similar in size and temperament to Cardinal Tetras, Rasboras like Harlequin Rasbora, Chili Rasbora, or Mosquito Rasbora are great companions for them. They also come in different colors and patterns, adding variety to the tank.

  3. Corydoras: Peaceful and bottom-dwelling fish such as Corydoras Catfish can coexist with Cardinal Tetras without competing for food or space. They are also helpful in keeping the aquarium clean by scavenging leftover food and debris.

  4. Guppies: Colorful and active fish like Guppies can add a vibrant touch to a tank with Plecos And Cardinal Tetras in Your Aquarium. They are also small and peaceful, and both species can thrive in similar water conditions.

  5. Otocinclus Catfish: These small and peaceful algae-eating catfish can help keep the aquarium clean while also being great companions for Cardinal Tetras Plecos in Your Aquarium. They occupy the lower levels of the aquarium and are compatible with other small fish.
